Chefs Ester Choi, Leah Cohen, Marc Forgione, JJ Johnson, Inspiralized’s Ali Maffucci, Akhtar Nawab, Pierre Thiam, Cedric and Jean-Georges Vongerichten to bring their highly-coveted cuisine direct-to-consumers
New York, New York (July 1, 2020) – Today CookUnity, a New York City-based Chef-to-Consumer (C2C) platform, announces the launch of The Creators Club, a new menu offering produced by nine of New York City’s top culinary icons and innovators. CookUnity welcomes Ester Choi, Leah Cohen, Marc Forgione, JJ Johnson, Inspiralized’s Ali Maffucci, Akhtar Nawab, Pierre Thiam, Cedric Vongerichten, and Jean-Georges Vongerichten for its initial launch of the program. Rounding out an already diverse team of over 30 independent chefs, The Creators Club expands CookUnity’s menu to include award-winning cuisine and never-before-seen dishes from the talent’s respective restaurants and popular cookbooks. CookUnity’s Creators Club directly connects Michelin Star and Master restaurant chefs with customers looking for an elevated in-home dining experience with fully-prepared, ready-to-eat meals. With a unique direct-to-consumer subscription model well positioned to serve the increased consumer demand for stay-at-home food options, CookUnity’s marketplace format and integrated business model provides restaurants with an option to easily diversify their revenue streams as many work to regain their footing following the impacts of COVID-19. “CookUnity provides a different path for independent chefs and restaurateurs who are looking to scale with less risk involved,” said Mateo Marietti, CookUnity’s Founder and CEO. “The restaurant industry has been heavily impacted by the pandemic, forcing our chef friends to quickly adjust to society’s new normal. The Creators Club allows us to partner with incredible culinary talent who are looking to generate new revenue, reimagine their businesses, and bring their staff back to work safely. We’re thrilled to bring these celebrated chefs and their exquisite dishes to our menu and customers.” The Creators Club dishes are produced by each individual chef and their respective staff to ensure consistency and quality with every meal made. With an already extensive weekly offering of over 150 meals, new dishes from The Creators Club will continue to focus on CookUnity’s ingredient-led food philosophy that prioritizes sustainably-sourced proteins, seasonal produce, dynamic flavors, and balanced nutrition. Chefs will reimagine healthier, made-to-order versions of dishes from famed restaurants like Wayan, Perry Street, Pig & Khao, FIELDTRIP and Mökbar for a one-of-a-kind offering to CookUnity customers. Additionally, The Creators Club will also introduce new dishes only available through CookUnity. “My biggest concern with takeout and delivery is being able to maintain quality and taste from kitchen to doorstep,” said Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. “CookUnity has created an online model that is truly chef-friendly. It has given me the ability to expand my reach while allowing me to focus on what’s important to me; satisfying cravings and customers.”
CookUnity and The Creators Club menu is available throughout the Greater New York City Area and parts of the Northeast through a flexible weekly subscription service delivered fresh to consumer’s doors. Plans start at four meals per week for less than $60 including delivery and scale up based on subscription size. For more information on CookUnity and The Creators Club, visit CookUnity.com.
